I've done the same thing. I have bought 4 model 27's that were unfired except for the 3 factory test rounds and I have shot all 4 of them. Three were nickel 27-2 guns and I take them out very occasionally and run some rounds through them and one is a 27-5 that I specifically bought to be a shooter and when I received it I found that it was also unfired except for the factory test rounds too. That gun I shoot all the time and it's a sweet shooter too.
