All depends on where you are. In NY we can't mail order or internet order ammo. Has to be bought at a dealer or a face to face private sale.

I would also argue that even though you're going to spend a bit more money at a local gun shop ( not a big box store ) than ordering it online it's a great idea. Those local places need the business, and every little bit counts.The extra service and a relationship with the store owner is worth the extra green.
