There is evidence that part of the ear at the top of the right side had broken off - left side probably as well, but not as bad - and someone sanded and refinished the grips. I was a little upset at first, but the grips fit my hands so perfectly - much better than other N-frame targets - and I shoot the gun, so I chose the 'glass half full' attitude that I got lucky. Also, I liked dealing with the seller and will probably deal more with him in the future.
