I'm with y'all on that as well.
For a 3" 44 I much prefer the L frames.
The full lug out front helps them balance and shoot much better for me than the 3" N frame especially the tapered barrel ones.
They are more comfortable to carry as well if you don't mind giving up a round in the cylinder.
If, God Forbid, we were limited to one handgun, I would probably choose my 696-1.
It carries and shoots like a dream instinctively and I know how to smith it if needed for the most part.
Also would not tell the authorities about the backups buried in the back yard (pictured below).
