There is no reason why a gunsmith who is skilled with the metal receiver S&W pistols cannot smooth and polish the fire control components and give it a double action revolver smooth DA trigger and a SA trigger that is close to a 1911 trigger in terms of weight and crispness. These can be truly wonderful pistols, it is sad that they are out of production and there is no aftermarket support other than a few options for stocks.
