Very interesting thread. I have a Nickel 39-2. I will have to check it as well it's LNIB. S/N A4387xx (late 1970s I believe) It has black controls. I did not think any came with nickel controls... Wrong again. This is an interesting thread as I was just thinking about all the pre 39 to early 39 variants and was thinking that once the 39-2 came out they were all cookie cutter the same. Wrong again!!
