I had the same knuckle problem with the one New Service I owned in 45 Colt! I never tried Goodyear's or grip adapters. Are your stag grips stock dimensions or do they fill the larger hand better?

I don't recall any pain when I shoot my New Service revolvers. My stag grips are a bit plumper and more "contoured" than factory size. Knuckle rapping could be due to big "ham hands" or how the grip is held.
