I got mine for $300 at a pawn shop that seems to use random pricing on any Smith that does not have a model number under the yoke. $500 guns listed for $300 (because it was old) and the occasional $150 gun for $1000. It's my favorite j-frame. Less felt recoil than another centerfire J I have fired and a nice looking gun. And I like the idea of carrying a gun that is older than I am.
