Very unique!
Both slide and lever were tested at S&W and for the want of an affirmative corporate decision, our beloved 3rd gens would have been sporting those serrations ans safety levers.

Proof that you can never say never with what may have come from the S&W factory; though, as armorer951 mentioned, the absence of any factory marking on the OP's slide would still have me leaning towards an aftermarket job in this case.
