For CMP 22 Excellence In Competition the Timed Fire and Raid Fire 5 shot strings require a lift like in International 25 meter pistol events for the first shot of the string instead of being able to hold on the side of the turning target frame like in traditional NRA Precision Pistol (Bullseye). The line starts with all pistols at a low ready and lifts when the targets turn. Luckily the time the targets are facing the line is 20 seconds and 10 seconds so shooters have some cushion for firing all five shots of each string.
