I know it's a fairly old thread, but I'm fairly old.

I replaced my stock (1.0) trigger with the Hyve Monarch. "Night and day" difference doesn't even come close. Super crisp. *Felt* lighter but I know that's not the case with this type of replacement. Although I suppose the complete lack of any type of "grit" (which was certainly there before) makes it feel that way.

Now I wish I hadn't sold my other Shields. Ironically, I sold them because I hated the triggers.

Lemme see if I can attach an image....

FTR, that's also their +1 base pad that goes on the 7-round mag. Never used it and own a couple extra 8's. Now the 7 is 8 and therefore somewhat usable.

Couple hundred rounds later, no issues. And I actually enjoy shooting it now. The funny part is that I remember thinking "what a great trigger these things have" when they first came out. Then I'd go to the range with the Shield and -- whatever, some 1911's or what not. When you pick up the Shield again, it's just - "well, it shoots..." and you holster it back up. This trigger changed that.
