Seems there are two camps regarding the CMP 1911's. One wants a pristine 1911 and the other wants one that has been there and done that. I didn't sign up for the lottery because the 1943 Ithaca definitely been there and done that. Belonged to my boss who was a tanker is the African campaine. The park around the front of the slide is almost worn through,and the chips in the muzzle of the barrel were caused by the muzzle hitting the tank hatch.
