People have strange ideas and sometimes they change their minds. When Idaho State Police went to the 4586 I shot dad's and I didn't care for it. Throughout the nineties when then the 3rd Gen pistols were in full production I didn't like them. I thought they were bulky, awkward and heavy. I liked Sig and Beretta. However I was in my twenties and looked at things differently.
Like most things in life I didn't really appreciate the 3rd Gen pistols until S&W stopped making them. When dad passed away and the two pistols came to me I really came to appreciate what S&W had made. So it goes.
It's interesting to note that the very same 4586 that I didn't care too much for is now one of my favorites.
