I had a M77 in 22-250 that I loaded hot with cheap bullets (22 Hornet bullets I think). Couldn't find any holes on the target. Then I watched very carefully in bright sunlight and saw the bullets disintegrate. Kept those for "jokes" for friends. I'd shoot (it was pretty accurate) with better constructed bullets and then let them shoot with the disintegrating bullets.
