I avoided 10/22s for a long long time. Then the take down version came out and I immediately pictured the cased rifle living behind the seat of my pick-up. Funny thing was that was during one of the previous gun buying panics. I bought the last 10/22 take down the dealer had and someone offered me $100 more for it as I walked out the door. I turned them down because I didn't really need the cash and I wasn't sure when another 10/22 TD would be available. Other than adding a scope it is still stock.
