Pretty incredible John Hurst Combat grips which looks to be in Cocobolo wood. Most all of his grips have checkering. These are smooth with a generous palm swell. Fit really nice on my pre-29. There is a little scratch and a small nick that is hard to see unless you hold it just right to the light. Could easily be removed but I wasn't about to touch these. ZERO cracks, splits or any surprises. Issues are clearly marked in photos. Very nice historic grips from one of the big 3 at the time.
