Check out PGS Hideout Grips. The smooth version would probably be a good base for a stippling job. I prefer the non-finger-groove model, but they also have one with finger grooves. You can usually get them through Brownells for about $20. The one caveat is that they won't work with speedloaders unless you modify them, which isn't difficult if you have a Dremel (it can be done with sandpaper and files, but it'll take longer and requires more effort). Or maybe you could have the guy doing the stippling relieve them, if so desired.
