Default It's My Wife's Fault...

We stopped by the LGS a couple of days ago. It was the first time I could get to the handgun counter without having to stand in line. I saw this 1966 Colt Trooper, in 38 Special, with the box, some of the papers, etc. I looked it over and was sorely tempted, but had them put it back.

Then my wife came along and ordered me to put it on layaway. "I'm not going to listen to you whine about how you should have bought that gun."

It is clean. Inside the box is a target with five 38 wadcutter holes that I could cover with my thumb. On the target is written, 30 ft, 12/27/1966. I can't prove it of course, but I think that may have been the last time it was fired. I'm not sure if I'll shoot it when I get it out of hock. I'm not one who has to shoot a gun to enjoy it.

I've seen Troopers in 357 before, and I knew they had been made in 38, but I don't think I've ever seen one.
