There is absolutely nothing wrong with that.
Though I keep one on my office desk and obviously several on display in my study at the house. I have found that a piece of art like your embellished Model 629 will start conversation from liberals and conservatives alike. While not all start on friendly note, they almost always end on one.
These are Art, they were made to be displayed and shared with our compadres when they stop by. This is no different than hanging a Peter Maxx or Salvador Dali on the wall. No different than having a display cabinet with Lladrós or Lalique in it for your friends and family to admire
