I have one just like yours, and I've learn to live them. A really cool gun. Prices are all over the place and with the box tools and papers, high condition examples will go for four figures. Shoot lots of 38 special ammo, and stay away from hot 125 grain 357 magnum ammo. It has a reputation for cracking the bottom (flat part) of the forcing cone. 158 grain 357 magnum ammo is much less likely to cause damage. I've had no problems, and it's seen alot of range time.
