I do keep a revolver in my car. Under the seat, in a locked box, cabled to the seat frame. Not readily accessible, it's for emergency use if I find myself somewhere without a handgun. Box also contains a credit card and $100 in 1s, 5s & 10s. I wanted a pistol small enough to be a concealed carry piece.
The revolver is a 1968 Model 40. It corroded badly when stored on a boat and it was refinished as well as it could but it looks like hell. Functions perfectly. I have 3 speed strips with it for a total of 20 rounds. Load is my own 125 JHP loaded to a clocked 1150 FPS from the 2" barrel.
