Even though we live "out" in a county area and have never had anything stolen I told my wife not to be leaving her handgun in the vehicle overnight due to what is currently going on. (She typically doesn't but I wanted her to understand why it was very important right now.)
I too agree with not wanting them stolen from the vehicle, especially if a possibility of them then being used in a home invasion (I.E. mine) is a possibility due to such.
There are times when I want to live closer to the big cities just to be able to conveniently enjoy everything they have to offer...……...and then there are times I thank God that I don't.
While we are used to "taking care of ourselves" until the county sheriff can get to us we have upped our "what if" game for the time being with regards to as what to grab in just such an instance.
What a damn shame.
