If you’re not interested in 745’s or other S&W products that they put together with left over parts inventory, (and then gave FANTASTIC names to,) just move on from this.
Another post 745 production showed up, and now I suspect there are probably more.
I still feel very lucky to have gotten my ANIB “745 Performance Center Special”, (1998,) just a few years ago. It was $700.00 and actually checks out with a PC Product Code and Earl confirmed/remembered the 15 Lew Horton got in 1998.
Now I see another one, (1990,) This one was named “745 .45 Special Limited Production” with a different Product Code. It seems S&W was using up leftover 745 parts right away.
Wasn’t there a “Classic” series offered in some other models? I’m definitely not putting these products down but the marketing and frugal use of leftovers still amazes me.
