There used to be a distributor, Coles (he's now gone), who would take the worst guns and do a quickie parkerizing on them. I got a FEG HP clone for $200 that way.
No, it's nickel and it's not really able to be cleaned up too much more than it already is. Took me hours to get the hunk of epoxy off the side of the frame. The gun is fine mechanically and shoots great. Most all of my ex-mil guns came from Gary Cole before he went and even my last one, the Beretta 81 came through CDI. The Jericho came through Aim Surplus.
