I have two 52-1’s and love them. The -1’s don’t sell for as much as the later models because people are afraid of the more fragile extractor. If you are careful to always load from the magazine there is less chance of breaking the extractor.
I use 2.8 gr of Bullseye or 3.0gr of 231 with a Remington or Magnus HBWC. Unfortunately, the Remingtons are hard to find but I have found that the Magnus bullets shoot as well but will lead a little in my pistols.
