A hame! Or rather, the brass ball that goes on the top of a hame! I've been trying to think of where to get a ball to go on the top of a homemade cane, and that is the perfect thing. Decades ago I made a cane out of an elm sapling with a vine growing around it, which I cut in my F-I-L's hog pen. With the vine removed, it is a nice spiral shape. The handle I put on it works great for a cane, but not for a club. I think I will replace the handle with a brass hame.
