I am looking to procure a self defense weapon for my wife to carry. The employees at Nardis Gun Club in San Antonio recommended the S&W M&P Shield EZ.

They mostly recommended the 380. For those of you who have experience with these weapons I would appreciate your thoughts on which you like the best and why?

I believe the EZ 380 may be a bit smaller in size than the 9mm. Looking for the wife to carry in her purse or jacket pocket.
