Correct me if I’m wrong but the shorter length barrels are more desirable over the 6.5” and 8 3/8” barrels. There was a time when the 8 3/8” and 10” barrels were priced cheaper. Today the shorter barrel prices are pretty much equal to the longer barrels.

It’s condition, condition vs cost. Don’t hesitate to purchase any Revolvers the demand will return this time with new buyers. I think the plastic pistol market has leveled off. There’s nothing like a fine quality revolver there a big part of the s&w history when legends were made.
