I know a guy with one in his basement garage; he bought it on coming home alive from SE Asia as a gift to himself. 1965 L78 (396) 4 spd, track package, positraction and side mounts, paid about $5200 for it. He drove it for a few years, but no power steering and the heavy suspension wasn't suitable for a DD, he said. He still takes it out to clean it and runs around the block or to a local car show now and again. Car has less than 20K original miles. He laughs bout the AM/FM radio option costing almost the same price as the 396 engine. It's Nassau Blue. I can't imagine what the car is worth; never been restored but looks fantastic. He's in his mid 70's now, refuses to sell it.
