My most frequent carry is my 642-1 for the same reason you mentioned.
It is confortable. Maybe not quite as comforting as some of my others,
but I can take them along too if I think they might be needed. Here is my
Centennial along with a few of it's favorite holsters. Left to right:
642-1 with Hogue blue lava grips, and Piranha knife.
Chic Gaylord's little black speed scabbard on Uncle Mike "Mirage" belt.
The loop on the holster was very narrow back in those days, so I had
to use the old beat up Mirage. The hat is my "Silent Warrior".
Black Hills shark hide on a Crescent shark belt, Bianchi speed strip,
Piranha knife again, and Barsolino hat.
Safariland model 16 holster on a James belt, Piranha knife again and
my NSA hat.
Hunter 3001 holster on a Carson belt, Piranha knife, flashlight and
my private pilot hat.
