When I begin to scale down the collection, the one that I will keep will be the 1946 5" M&P. I like that barrel length the best. And like larryofcc, mine also has the original gold box, one line address and the ever popular LERK. It's not the most rare S&W or the most desirable compared to some models but there is just something about a fixed sight, long action K frame with a 5" barrel that is just 'right".
