Did you ever take the S&W armorers course? I have watched many videos on YouTube and some are very detailed, but taking down a frame is something I haven’t had the nerve to try yet.

As for keeping 3rd gen guns, I agree. I’ve owned probably 20 over the years. I’m left with 5. 2 5946’s, a 5903, 5906, and 4566. They’re never gonna go for less than what I paid for them so they’re staying forever.
