The Standard Catalog lists the Model 34 value as $850 as new in the box, meaning unfired since purchase, perfect with no wear markings, with box and all included papers and tools. Excellent condition would mean same basic condition, but a fired gun, and $700 value; VGC listed as $550. Yours should be in the upper part of the range, but I'd offer less than the ANIB price.
Personally, I'd go for the M28-2, I gave $1000 for a pristine 1973 date 6" model almost a year ago.
