Actually, there is no secret. Just dumb luck. Both of those deals were unsolicited by me. I just offered the M&P .40 for trade and got the 2 for 1 revolver offer.
In the second instance, my M&P .45 was up for sale and I was offered the 4506 trade.
As a side note, a few months later, the fellow who traded me the 4506 asked me if I'd be interested in trading back. I didn't of course, but it seemed like he had "traders remorse".
