In reference to the first picture in the OP upper left hand corner:
Miriam 'Ma' Ferguson was the first woman governor in the US elected in a general election. She is a revered icon here in central Texas. Ten years ago, her home here in Temple was a dilapidated, ready to be condemned, 'mansion' on the north side of town. It was put up for sale for $85,000 in the early 2010's and after a $300,000 restoration it was brought to its previous glory in 2014.

Interesting piece of history. I had no idea she was harsh to the Rangers.
That being said, the Texas Rangers Museum should be a bucket list destination for anyone interested in firearms, law enforcement, or Texas history.
