I agree with this. I have one of the early M&P22 full size pistols (made by Walther, with German markings) and it has always been finicky with some ammo. Mine doesn't like CCI Blazers or CCI Standard Velocity (failures to feed with both), but will run Federal bulk and Rem Golden Bullets reliably.

My experience with rimfire pistols is that they like what they like, and once you find something they like you should stick with it. I know that's harder when ammo is scarce, but it works.
