Agree with the above comments. That is a very nice condition .22 from around 1953. S&W did not ship in serial number order, so the only way to really know the shipping date is to purchase a letter. If you are interested in that kind of detail. Those guns are very nice shooting guns, and yours has not been fired very much it seems. But, you can put a lot of rounds through them and they will still be very nice.
You did not ask value, so I assume that you will be keeping it. Just for reference, I bought one with serial number of K202500 a few months back with the original box for more than $800. I probably paid too much, but it was there and I wanted one!!
