I bought an Ithica model 37 police shotgun from the dept that I used to work for in the 1970's, for $35.00. No engraving on the receiver. Still have it the gun is for the bedroom. Gun works and shoots great. I refinished the stock and had the metal reblued.
Somebody made a post about how good the Malibu's were for police cars. In 1977 our dept bought us Chevy Nova's. They were fast as hell with a V8 engine, but the breaks were terrible. If you had back to back emergencies in different parts of town you literately had to stand on the breaks to get the car to stop. We only kept them about two years.
