This 3.5” 27-2 WAS my shooter. Shipped Dec. ’71 and ‘rescued’ in 2005 from owner who had used Hoppe’s #9 on the nickel at some time. No box, no papers/tools but in perfect shape other than its freckels. Shot it until 2007 when I sent it to S&W Performance Center for function and performance inspection and complete Factory Nickel Refinish. Since then it has assumed the throne: safe queen.
