I, too, prefer my J frame revolvers with square butts. I frames too. I find I'm able to shoot them better than the round butts, since they fit my hand better and put my trigger finger in the right place with less effort.
I carried this Model 36 of 1964 vintage for several years:
I no longer carry it because I was able to purchase old ivory stocks for it from a fellow SWCA member. If I ever had to use it for defense, I didn't want those ivories to end up in a PD property room. I don't have a photo of it wearing ivory.
