I have never minded honest blue wear on my handguns. The pitting is what prompted my interest in the Ceracote. I guess it would still come out with the pitting showing fairly prominently. Everytime I take it out to the prairie and send some lead down range, it looks a little better to me. I think I will just "embrace the ugly" and leave the 'ol girl as is. It might be like one of my favorite female movie stars who gets plastic surgery because they are "aging". They become a bit "ghastly" and I would have rather seen honest age lines and wrinkles than their "new" face !
