I have a 642, though my "web bleeding experience" came from my larger 627PC when using the beautiful stock Walnut grips. After 50rd of my 1370fps .357 reloads, it was just too much. I now have Hogue grips on it and am much happier.

IMO, no matter how good looking a set of grips, it is NOT worth such a painful experience...
