The slim RB combats mentioned by S&W Chad as being on the 629 Classic DX are IMO the worst grips ever made. I have them on a M29-5 Classic DX, and if you want to feel the recoil directly in your wrist these grips will do the job. Of course the CDX comes with rubber grips too. I have to look into some round to square grips for my 29-5CDX

If they were not part of a whole package that came with the revolver, I would send them down the road quick for the 300+ they are going for
