A 4” 28-2 in 95% or better condition will fetch $750 to $950+, depending on where you live, the 6” will be $150 to $200 less.
You didn’t mention what brand your 1911 is, but assuming it’s SA, Kimber or similar, I’d make that trade in a heartbeat! The market is flooded with $400 to $900 1911s, but you don’t see nice 28-2s as often, especially 4 inchers.
