It turned out to be like new condition with a TH and TT just as I like them but with rubber grips. I've got plenty of grips but while dialing it in, I found it to be like a laser extension of my hand. Just can't miss, so the grips stay.

I know exactly how you feel about your 17-3. I just picked up a 17-2 from GB as the only bidder for $600, got it from my FFL a few days ago and was thrilled that it's condition is near perfect.
Solid lockup and timing, no end shake and a smooth 8# DA and 2# SA trigger. The unrelieved target stocks are a plus. My first range trip yesterday at 15 yards off a bag, after a few slight sight adjustments, it was shooting 1" groups with CCI SV. For me, considering my tired old vision, it's a personal best with a handgun.
