My 2nd edition catalog says 1970, so JP@AK is correct. And thank you
for being nice to that fireman. He does deserve our respect. And I'm
glad the karma came back around to you. I have the 19-4, and in the
thread about what is your favorite S&W, I said my Model 19 because I
have had it much longer than any of my others. I bought it new. Can't
remember when, but my catalog says that SN was made in 1980. I have
the box, but when I got Herrett Trooper stocks I sold the original stocks.
Just call me crazy.
