I just replaced the rear sight blade successfully. A very simple job for the mechanically inclined; for me, however, it was a pretty big deal. I've never seen a spring as small as the one that goes into the hole on the side of the screw head. The sight blade remains a bit looser than on my other S&W revolvers, but it has considerably less play than it did before the swap out. I guess the adjustment screw and sight blade were worn after firing many thousands of rounds over many years. Your advice and the Brownells tutorial were quite helpful.
