My dept was the first large agency to issue autos and we issued S&W autos for 32 years. When I went thru our academy the lead range officer said that you know when you've got enough oil on your S&W when oil runs out the bottom of your holster and down your pant leg.
He was exaggerating a bit. But the point he was making was lube those guns. S&W autos aren't Glocks. They need lube.
