Default response from Bill Nelson Fl

Thank you for contacting me about policy proposals that seek to reduce gun violence in the wake of the tragedy in Newtown.

I am a hunter and have always owned guns, and I support the Second Amendment.

But assault weapons such as AK 47s are intended for killing, not hunting.

Solutions for reducing gun violence must address many areas, from protecting law enforcement and keeping weapons out of the hands of criminals, to school safety, access to mental health services, and confronting a culture that sometimes glorifies violence.

I support reinstating the assault weapons ban and restoring the 10-round limit for ammunition magazines. And, I support universal background checks so that we can know if person buying a weapon has a criminal record.

I appreciate hearing your views on this very important issue, and I will keep them in mind. Please do not hesitate to contact me in the future.

Sincerely,

Bill Nelson

Where does the 2nd amendment mention hunting Bill?

I got the same response from him. Went to his webpage and made a letter saying that because of his position he will never get the vote of my wife, my son, my father, my mother and mine, I told him that I am going to talk to my friends and family members about his position about Gun Controls and that I will do whatever is on my hands, including voluntary work and donations against him.

He just does not get the message . They want to ban all guns. You can hunt with a assault rifle if you want to. They are a blast on coyotes and prairie dogs and ground hogs as well as wild hogs. They are a blast to shoot cans.with.
They are no different than any other hunting rifle other than you can get a large magazine for them and they have no where near the knock down power of other hunting rifles.
He is anther go along to get along fence setting politician.

He apparently has not looked at his own web page and seen a 95% opposition to the ban. Nelson is a died in the wool hard line liberal who marches to the party line and when the leaders of his party say jump, He asks how high. I can not believe Florida elects a Marco Rubio and a Bill Nelson. That is one messed up state.

Liberalism should be classified as a mental disease.

Only one thing to do boys, vote em out.......they need to be fired.

They should serve their constituency. If the majority are against gun bans, they must comply when they vote in the Senate or House.

Otherwise, they serve their own interests.
