Disarm Americans Within a Generation
If anyone is still holding onto the notion that all the elft wants is reasonable gun control measures, read this:
San Diego Police Chief: We Can Disarm Americans Within a Generation
The TRUTH is they are looking for total disarmament.
If "lawmakers play it right"? That statement alone is evidence that there is indeed a long term strategy at work here to eliminate the Second Amendment. And if all goes according to plan, they will succeed within a generation.
Obviously, the Chief does not consider any oath he took to be an impediment to his plan. After all, lies have to be told if one is to replace the Constitution a communist form of government, where rights do not exist; only privileges doled out by the government.
The truth comes out.

MEXICAN TERRITORIES again.

The beliefs of one is not necessarily the beliefs of the many, and there are many on the left who own, carry, and use firearms. Some are looking for total disarmament, but they are not at this time numerous enough to succeed. This gun grab bill pretty much went down in flames.

If this guy actually said these things, isn't there a way to sue him and/or remove him from his office? If you take an oath to protect something, then turn around and say if we play our cards right we can get rid of it, that's got to be wrong enough to remove them from office..... NO???? YES?????
I listened to Obama take an oath to protect the Constitution in his Inauguration ceremony. If he does things to the contrary of that, he should be impeached. Right?

Maybe we could send him to Afghanistan with his efforts, just for a trial decade or so.

His grounds for impeachment have long passed. Im surprised nobody in the higher ups have had the nuts to push it foward.

If we teach our children about how our country was born and how our ancestors had to fight one of the best armies in the world at the time
and the hardships that they faced to be free and what our soldiers went through for us to be free they will have a hard time in the future.
Teach your children to shoot and to hunt and to never give up the 2nd amendment. Schools try to teach that guns are bad we should teach them that they are not.

Forgive me but this comes as a surprise to you? Did you for a moment believe that the anti gunners was going to say" Well we got those evil guns banned so now we're finished?"
Of course the ultimate goal is a total ban on personal firearms, maybe not in our lifetimes, maybe not even in our children's but eventually.

San Diego needs a new chief and the cops there should vote no confidence, and refuse orders to enforce the bans

Having put 3 kids through CA public schools I can personally attest that there is ZERO discussion about our founding principles, ZERO discussion about our constitution, and ZERO discussion about the things that make our country great.
Fortunately, all 3 kids are solid with good heads on their shoulders. I will always remember some of the statements and assignments that they brought home.
Cold War discussion required my kid to write an essay on the cold war that included the points:
CIA programs to destabilize the middle east
Military Industrial Complex
Role of the press in exposing the Vietnam War
and a couple of other items that I can't recall.
After discussing with my kid who interviewed me for her paper since I was a "cold war veteran" she wrote a very short response. The topics presented are not related in the context of the "cold war" and any attempt to connect them in any some kind of cohesive fashion is an attempt to distort factual history"
My kid was given an "F" for the response. I took her out to a nice dinner and explained to her that she didn't need approval nor grades from that school to be a successful person of character and I was extremely proud of her.
Make no mistake about it. Today's public schools have been and are churning out legions of under educated kool aid drinkers whose sense of "entitlement" and lack of work ethic are astounding. It is now more than ever the role of parents to teach our country's history and founding principles...oh wait, todays parents are the product of the public schools. What a fine mess we are in.

I don't think I'll see total disarmament in my lifetime (66yrs old) but I think it will eventually come. We have so turned away from the principles on which this country was founded, the ideals that our soldiers fought and died for to protect those principles and all the things that made this country the greatest country which God has allowed to exist on this earth that without a complete 180 degree aboutface gun control will be one of the least of our worries. I pray that I'm wrong.

Looking at some of the stuff that's happened here in PA in the past few weeks (a KINDERGARTNER was suspended for saying she wanted her friends to shoot each other with a pink, plastic, Hello Kitty, bubble shooter. The basis of the expulsion: terroristic threats.
Pa. kindergartner suspended for alleged "terroristic threat," attorney says - Crimesider - CBS News
After Columbine one of my sister's friends was expelled from school because he had nail clippers with her in school. My brother was hauled into a meeting with all the "weird looking kids," the school administration, and the police. The basis of THAT conversation was, apparently, is it bad to bring guns to school and shoot people, and because you're the weird looking kids, you're the ones who will probably do it. (My brother was an art major and wore a tan trench coat that he'd decorated by hand. The back of it was in self-translated Heiroglyphics... the passage that was there was a selection, from... The Pilgrim's Progress.

Honestly, when I was in college I met and knew a number of education majors... they were... special people. I am worried about my kids going to elementary school. When a principal calls home because of of my kids called their teacher an idiot, my first question is going to have to be, "Is the teacher an idiot?" I don't have very high expectations for most teachers, but seeing the kind of things that go on in schools today... (I should also point out that the brush I am using is kinda large. I know there are EXCELLENT teachers out there. It only takes 1 bad apple though.)

It's about incrementalism.
There will be other horrific events that can be exploited for gain, and at each opportunity they'll chip away until the accomplish the objective.
